The Fermon strain (AY426531.1) is widely used as the reference for annotating the genome of Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68).
Structural studies have shown that the first 12 amino acids previously annotated as part of the VP1 protein actually belong to the C-terminus of VP3 (Fang et al., 2021).
This tool helps convert positions between the original Fermon annotation and the updated genome structure.
